Come to see Kat and Joyce’s Dog & Pony
Show at Stampeddler Plus. They
will be guests at our store for the long weekend of the Novi Stamp Show
and beyond (August 14—20). Don’t
miss their demos’, Tupperware and jewelry parties, storytelling, fun
classes and fun snacks. Plan ahead
and take a couple of vacation or sick days to join the party. Here is
their schedule, so make your reservation early, as their classes fill up
very quickly.

Tupperware Soiree!
Bring a small snack to share while Kat shows
you the latest in Tupperware and how to use them to store your favorite
stamps and accessories. She’s
making 5 Minute Salsa in the Quick Chef and 8 Minute Chocolate/Cherry
Cake in the microwave. It will be
a tasty party and you’ll see all the new
colors in Tupperware, orange, yellow, lime
green. . .yummy! Socialize with
Kat and Joyce and ask your Tup and stamp storage questions. Have anything like missing lids or
damaged Tup to replace? Bring your
other Tup piece in and see what Kat can find for you. Door prizes given!

Kat & Joyce Stamping
Demo
Come for a fun time watching Kat Okamoto,
owner of A Stamp in the Hand, stamp and calligraphy cards for your
viewing pleasure. She will show
you blending techniques using Marvy Brush Markers and simple stippling
background techniques. Learn
useful ideas for layouts of cards and creating collage stamping. Take advantage of her TRAVELING TRUNK
SHOW and see over 55 Stamp Sets featuring an incredible variety of
subjects. In the last hour, Joyce
Hazen will give you some outstanding ideas on creative one-of-a-kind cards. You won’t want to miss her latest
tricks of the trade.

Artful Domino Bracelet
Class taught by Joyce Hazen

Take this fun class to learn a new twist on
a bracelet made with
dominoes.
Joyce has been stamping on dominoes for years, but now she has
elevated this technique to WRIST ART by adding color and Diamond Glaze on
a link bracelet. To create this
artful bracelet, you will use paper art, page pebbles, Brilliance,
Opalite and Ancient Page Ink Pads on small black and ivory dominoes. By the end of class, you’ll have
created a beautiful piece.
Materials included. Pre-requisite: Rookie
Note: Please be aware that
because of needed drying time, Joyce will instruct you on how to glue the
dominoes to your bracelet (at home).

Art Tin Necklace

Ever chew Starbucks gum? Well, don’t throw the tin away because
Joyce will turn it into a work of art.
Using our new collage sheets, you will create an amazing,
beautiful wearable art piece.
Using StazOn reinkers and Lumiere paints, you will lay your foundation
before adding your embellishments.
Choose from beads, wire to wrap, old photographs, etc. to decorate
your lovely artwork. Bring color
Xeroxes of old photographs, your favorite beads or baubles to personalize
your piece. You’ll finish your
piece by adding a cord. This class
will inspire you to create more pieces while chewing your gum. All other materials included. Pre-requisite: Rookie.

High Fashion Jewelry and Storytelling
Ever heard one of Kat’s life stories? Come for a fun evening of storytelling
and tips on how to wear your high fashion jewelry. Kat’s selling Premier Designs jewelry
(made in the U.S). Come see a
great sample of beautiful high fashion but reasonably priced
jewelry. She’ll give you fashion
tips interspersed with amusing anecdotes from her life. As a treat she will show us how to make
Peach Cobbler and One Minute Ice Cream in her Tupperware and share her
delicious recipes with you. What’s
better than a delightful and delectable night of fun, food and
fancy. You won’t be disappointed. Door prizes given.

Basic Bold Blending to Fine Faux Finishes

Good Basic Class
Learn our unique techniques in faux
finishes. Joyce will review the
basic blending techniques using Marvy brush markers and then introduce
you to rusty metal, mahogany, fossil and granite finishes on semi-glossy
paper. These techniques will
enhance your ability to create elegant and arty cards using our bold and
linear designs. A must have class
to create lots of different backgrounds for your stamped cards. Materials included.

Holiday Multi-Folding Book
Class taught by Joyce Hazen

Original design concept: Nancy Williams and Ming Kwong
Join Joyce as she shows you how to create an
incredible multi-folding, multi-faceted book. This book can be adapted to any
size. This class will use a 6” x
6” format. To get you in the
holiday mood, you will be using A Stamp In The Hand’s popular holiday
theme stamps and available holiday scrapbooking papers. You will learn to create a book with
lots of folds, pockets and layering of ephemera. This format can be used as a photo memory
book, a journal, a cookbook holding your favorite recipes or a special
greeting bookcard on subjects ranging from celebrations to sympathy. Although materials are provided to
finish your project, you may want to bring your own favorite copies of
photos or holiday embellishments to enhance your beautiful book. Materials included.
