STAMPEDDLER CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Please check in 15 minutes before class starts so the instructors can start on time; due to class time limits, instructors are unable to repeat instructions if you’re late.

When you take classes with us, we provide all materials and you get 10% off your purchases that day.

 

 

Please bring your basic kit: Scissors, tweezers, paper cutter/trimmer, your choice of adhesive (wet and dry, double sided tape), ruler and pencil.  Please check each class for additional items to bring!

 

 

Basic Classes for the Beginner

 

Rookie Rubber Stamping

Learn the techniques of stamp embossing, color-on and quick dry stamping on glossy paper and more.

Pre-requisite: Rookie

Several fun techniques will be introduced and re-visited as you create four all occasion cards. Inks, stains, paints and more will add color and interest to your art. All can be easily reproduced by you for future cards, using supplies and stamps you may already own. Supplies to bring: Basic supply kit.

Optional supplies to bring: craft mat, X-acto knife, colored pencils, distressing inks and tools.

Tags are the focal point in this summer time fun class. You will leave with four cards and the inspiration for many more. Quick techniques for stamping, coloring and embellishing your art will be shared. Supplies to bring: Basic supply kit. Optional supplies to bring: White colored pencil, craft mat, distressing inks and tools, mini stapler.

You will use them all and more to create four fun shaped cards that close in unique ways. Learn some new and different techniques that can be added to your card making tools and ideas.

Get a head start on your special holiday card and be prepared to WOW your friends. This fun filled pop-up design will put a smile on even the biggest Scrooge. It looks more difficult than it really is and can be made again and again for all those lucky people on your holiday list. Mail-able too! 

Supplies to bring: Basic tool kit, score board, X-acto knife and ruler.

Libby—New

Class taught by Jill Quilinan

All Day Class

For all the Americana lovers or anyone who loves to make jewelry, learn how to turn an old test tube into a one-of-a-kind necklace, celebrating our independence. Little Libby is hand sculpted, painted and aged to give her an old time feel. The pendant was created using an old test tube, cut and soldered. Tucked inside is a hand stitched banner with the words “Let Freedom Ring”.

Please bring the following supplies:

Paints: red, white, blue, black, brown, pink and yellow

Paint brushes—to paint face, hat and legs.

Water bucket, scissors, embroidery needle, glue stick and crackle medium, if you own some, Jill will have some to share. All other materials included.

Flights of Fancy—New

Class taught by Jill Quilinan

Class Fee: $60.00 

All Day Class

Learn how to made these adorable, whimsical bird cages for a little Fairyette! You will learn three different techniques, from soldering a bird cage to wire wrapping a cage and pounding metal. Plus how to make a Fairyette to hang inside and adorn your whimsies!

Supplies to bring: Tim Holtz scissors, Tim Holtz distress ink pads (walnut and vintage), gel medium or PPA glue, brayer, glue brush, jewelry tools—pliers (round and flat) wire cutters, hammer, metal block to hammer on, towel, sand paper (fine grit if you have some or Jill will have plenty to share, small hole punch, work mat to glue on, things to adorn your bird cages (flowers, velvet leaves, ribbon, trims, etc.) and soldering suitcase.

Junker Jane—New

Class taught by Jill Quilinan

Class Fee: $65.00 

All Day Class

This necklace was inspired by Jill’s love of all things vintage and her desire to repurpose something old into something new. Repurposing vintage elements or family heirloom pieces into jewelry is a process most satisfying! You will learn how to tear apart old jewelry, remount and assemble. Learn how to solder a large glass bubble, make your own unique clasp and chain. Add some bling, bling and you’ll have a one of a kind Junker Jane necklace. 

Supplies to bring: 1 vintage brooch or ear ring that will mount to a large glass bubble, various pieces of vintage jewelry to play with, old pins, earrings, buttons, etc. 3 chandelier crystals (ones with a hole at each end), jump rings (Jill will have plenty to share as well), jewelry tools—pliers (flat & round), wire cutters, E 6000 glue, Diamond Glaze, scissors and soldering suitcase.

watercolor palettes  in new ways.

Spring is here so it’s time to decorate the house. Using the simple “3D wall art collection” from Kaiser you will create a one of a kind piece of home décor for your walls using some paper, glue and a little bit of bling. 

All supplies will be provided.

Love Potion Bottles

3 Hour Class

Join Valerie to make these adorable little love potion bottles to give away to a secret love or to just have them on display. Each student will be making 2 bottles in class by decorating them with labels, stickers, rhinestones, beads and metal embellishments. Fill them up in class with “special potions” or take them home to fill them with your favorite soap, lotion or perfume. 

All supplies and tools will be provided.

Matchbox Dresser—New

Don’t throw away those empty matchboxes. Crafters like to keep everything and here is something fabulous to make with matchboxes. Join Valerie to make this cute “High Boy” dresser out of matchboxes complete with perfume bottles and a real mirror. 

Supplies to bring: a paper trimmer and your favorite glue along with 3 to 6 sheets of double sided coordinating paper. (The small paper pads are perfect for this.)

Krazy for Kaiser Kards—New

2 Hour Class

Kaiser has beautiful paper, stamps and embellishments from down-under so join Valerie to make beautiful cards using their paper pads, stamps and solid colored card stock (each student will receive a paper pad). You will do simple, all occasion cards in the “Kaiser” style so you have cards on hand for last minute events. 

Supplies to bring: a paper trimmer and your favorite glue. All other supplies provided in class.

Collage Mini Canvases—New 

(Using Everything Including the Kitchen Sink )

It’s all fair game for this mixed media mini canvas. Any found object or interesting bit of texture can be added to your canvas to create a one of a kind collage. Every time you look at it you’ll find something new to see. 

Supplies to bring: as many found objects as you can collect before class time. Some found objects will be provided in class as well as all other supplies needed.

Un-Komplicated Kaiser Kards—New

Class Fee: $25.00 

2 Hour Class 

If you love Kaiser paper and embellishments then this is the class for you. You may have seen the cards on their blog with all the fancy layers and complicated folds and maybe been a little intimidated but you don’t have to be anymore. Learn how easy these lavish cards are to make by joining Valerie in a super easy class that demystifies all the layers. All the cards are made using Kaiser paper pads (each student will receive a paper pad), Kaiser stamps and solid colored card stock with a few extra embellishments thrown in. 

Supplies to bring: paper trimmer and your favorite glue. All other materials supplies will be provided in class.

The web site cannot do registration for classes. You can register by phone or stop in the store.

  • Payment required at time of registration. We accept phone registration with credit card payment.

  • You must pre-register for classes. We cannot prepare if we do not know how many students to expect.

  • We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel any class that has less than 4 paid students.

  • In the case of a rescheduled class, class fees are transferable to another class or store credit. Student cancellation prior to 48 hours of the class will result in transfer of class fee or store credit.

  • Less than 48 hours notice, no refund or store credit. 

  • Children must be 12 years or older

  • Please check in 15 minutes before class starts so the instructors can start on time.
