Rookie Rubber Stamping

Learn the techniques of stamp embossing, color-on and quick dry stamping on glossy paper and more. All materials included.  No need to bring basic kit.

Shadowbox Stamping—New

Class taught by Amy Flowers

Class Fee:  $35.00     2 Hour Class

Remember these stamps?  You had to run out and buy them.  And you used them.  Once.  Come join Amy and learn all the ways to use those spiffy shadow stamps.  You’ll cover a fistful of different uses and coloring techniques, creating a chart using this addition to your art stamp collection.  You will work with re-inkers, pigment and dye inks, Fluid Chalk pads, markers and more to create several collage style cards and tags.  Dust those shadow stamps off and give your art a fresh new twist!  All supplies included.

Woven Text Panel Collage - New

Class taught by Amy Flowers

Class Fee:  $42.00     3 Hour Class

Create a stunning dimensional collage on gesso board in this class, featuring light molding paste, stamps, metal powders, gauze and the new Inktense color blocks from Derwent!  Explore dreamy color effects with light molding paste and an acrylic paint “float” technique.  Play with Inktense blocks to create gorgeous color washes that become permanent when dry.  You’ll dip n’ dunk with puddles of ink and gauze.  Finish it all with metallic to accent all the texture and color within, definitely too cool for words!  All supplies included.

365 Days of Being Journal—New

Explore a different way to create a journal and develop methods to encourage daily art play with this class!  You’ll start with a heavy-duty sketch pad and experiment with a variety of color and texture applications on the pages.  Using collage ephemera, stamps, and paint to create blocks to organize your grouping of days, it can be by the month, week or day, whichever suits your artistic muse the best.  Amy will discuss and play with a variety of tips and techniques to keep you on track and inspired for 365 days of art journaling, a great way to manifest art into the everyday!

Gelli Shot Journal - New

Class taught by Amy Flowers

Class Fee:  $40.00     2 Hour Class

Explore fresh new techniques using your Gelli Plate!  You’ll play with layered texture printing using puff paint, easy chine colle’ collage prints and a mixed bag o’ tricks to create stunning, original printed pages and papers, perfect for collage or journaling.  You will leave with a fun little journal filled with Gelli shots, a fab textured cover, and plenty of collage papers ready to go.  Amy will have several Gelli Plates (and different sizes) for class use, but if you have your own Plate, feel free to bring it to class.  If you want to order a Gelli Plate, please order when you sign up for class.  All supplies included.

Pocket Book of Favorites—New

Pre-requisite: Rookie

Create a book filled with places to record your favorite thoughts.  It can also become a scrapbook to hold pictures and mementos from that special day or trip.  This little 12 page book with five pockets is very easy to tuck inside your bag so it is with you where ever you go.  It can become a great gift to share also.  Please bring your basic tool kit and a strong, wet adhesive or 1/8 inch double sided tape.

Join Margie for three jam packed hours filled with inking techniques.  It will get messy so dress accordingly.  Please bring your basic tool kit, any distress inks you may have along with your handle, foam pads and craft mat.  You may also want a mister bottle or two.  There will be a limited supplies available to share during class

Faux Chalkboard Cards

Class taught by Valerie Brincheck

Class Fee:  $18.00     2 Hour Class

If you missed the Technique Tuesday demo where Valerie showed faux chalkboard techniques then you’ll want to take this class.  You will use basic stamping techniques on black paper with colored pencils, a water brush and some plain old chalk to create 2 different looks for some easy, fun and colorful cards.  Please bring a paper trimmer and your favorite glue.

Spooky Fall Card—New

Get ready for a “spooky” season in the fourth and final installment of the seasonal cards collection. We’ll be making a “bendy” card that opens to reveal a spooky graveyard scene with ghosts, pumpkins and witches in a frightfully fun card for fall. Everyone attending this class must bring a die cut machine to use in class, also please bring a paper trimmer and your favorite glue. (If you don’t have one there are 2 or 3 machines to borrow.) All other supplies and tools will be provided.

Die Cuts 101—New

Die cuts are the popular craze right now. If you’re stumped on how to use them then this class is for you.  You will explore how to use the various machines, how to shim them and how to cut, color, stack and piece your die cuts for some amazing results in this basic die cutting class.  If you have a die cutting machine please bring it to class to use.  All other tools and supplies will be provided.

Distress Ink pads are one of Valerie’s favorite supplies.  Join Valerie in this class to learn how to blend, stamp, splatter, smear, swirl, bleed, spritz, stencil, float, and much more using Distress Ink Pads, Stains, and Markers in this fabulous class full of color and fun.

Winter White Card

Join Valerie for a chance to make a winter scene triple folded card all done in white using 12 different Memory Box die cuts.  (If you don’t want to buy all the dies required here’s a chance to be able to use them all.)  Besides making the card you’ll get all kinds of tips and tricks for cutting, stacking and piecing the dies.  Everyone attending this class must bring a die cut machine to use in class, also please bring a paper trimmer and your favorite glue.  If you don’t have a die cutting machine, there are 2 or 3 machines to borrow.  Please let the Stampeddler know if you need a machine at the time you sign up for the class.  

All other supplies and tools will be provided.

Fears from the Past—New

Class taught by Inez Swanson

Class Fee:  $35.00     3 Hour Class

In this Halloween themed class, we will make a spooky miniature cabinet card, a small portrait on art board, and a tiny canvas on easel, using collage images, stamps, paints, and inks, along with various metal, wood, and fabric embellishments to enhance our creations.  These lovely, yet creepy designs will be fun to display throughout the fall season.  Please bring your basic kit, a one inch brush, gel medium (glossy and matte), and a burnishing sponge for gilding flakes.

The Gift—New

You will paint, stamp and decorate an 8” x 10” canvas combining timeless images, Christmas colors, and holiday sparkle.  The final product will make a lovely gift of art to yourself (or someone else, if you decide to part with it).  Please bring your basic kit, gesso, a sponge brush, and gel medium (glossy and matte).

Sacred Heart Altered House—New

Class taught by Jill Quillinan

Class Fee:  $68.00     All Day Class

In this class students will create their own style of house using a variety of mixed media techniques.  You’ll be covering the house with an adhesive, used with stencils to create a wonderful textural background to build upon.  You will then play with paints, found objects, vintage text papers and clay pieces.  A class full of information that can be used in all your mixed media work.  Students will leave class with their own incredible altered house!

Please bring the following supplies:

Repurposed Cardboard Journal—New

Class taught by Jill Quillinan

Class Fee:  $65.00     All Day Class

There’s something magical and satisfying in repurposing old discarded items.  Corrugated cardboard boxes are the perfect substrate to collage on.  It is strong and light in nature, textural when you peel back some of the layers and has an organic feel to it.  You will repurpose corrugated cardboard into a lovely journal book.  The book board has layers of paper, paint and cheesecloth with bits of cardboard peeking through - a visual surface for your personal journaling.  You will learn how to bind your signatures together with the use of cheesecloth and other materials.  Old lace from your mothers cedar chest, and a glass bottle filled with vintage millinery flowers adorning the front cover giving it a touch of beauty and grace. 

Please bring the following supplies:

Glue paint brush for gluing paper and cloth

Paint brushes to paint book board

Water Bucket

Paper towel

Wet wipes

Scissors

Mod Podge glue

Gel matte medium/matte gesso

Acrylic paints in your favorite colors.  Jill used white, soft blues, greens and pink.

Wicked Halloween Necklace—New

Class taught by Jill Quillinan

Class Fee:  $45.00     3 Hour Class

The spell has been cast and the wicked witch has come out to play with all you creative spirits!  Create your own pages pendant with Ice Resin, Mica, vintage text paper, waxed paper and a photo transfer.  To start, you will solder two pieces of glass to create the front and back of the pendant.  You’ll then look at the design possibilities hidden within to create the pages.  Next you will construct your pendant with the use of wire-wrapped loops and spirals linked to chain.  Students will leave class with a wickedly awesome necklace for the Holiday!

Woodland Soldered Journal Book

Class taught by Jill Quillinan

Class Fee:  $68.00     All Day Class

In this class Jill will show you how to take ordinary glass and turn it into an enchanted glass journal book.  She will show you how to solder, create faux mercury glass, transfers onto metal, the use of plaster and paper, plus you’ll add a little bit of vintage cloth.  The steps Jill covers in class, it will have you going home and digging out your photos to us in a whole new way.  This class is more than just a journal book!
